How do I download MT5 and connect my T1 account?
For PC
- Step 1:
Download the MetaTrader 5 terminal from here - Step 2:
Run the Trading.exe file you've downloaded - Step 3:
When launching the platform for the first time, click on 'File' and select 'Login to Trade Account' - Step 4:
Enter your account login credentials1 - Step 5:
Set Server to 'mt5-us.trading.com' and click 'OK'
For MAC
- Step 1:
Download the MetaTrader 5 terminal from here - Step 2:
Run the MetaTrader5.dmg file you've downloaded - Step 3:
After launching the platform, right-click on 'Accounts' and select 'Login to Trade Account' - Step 4:

PC OS: Microsoft Windows 7 or higher. 64-bit Windows 10 strongly recommended.
MAC OS: Fully compatible with all macOS up to and including Big Sur.
Processor: SSE2 support suitable for all modern CPUs (Pentium 4/Athlon 64 or higher).
Other hardware requirements depend on how you use the platform (e.g. load from running MQL5 applications, number of active instruments and charts).
How do I uninstall the Trading.com MT5 platform?
Windows 7
- Step 1: Click Start, and then click Control Panel
- Step 2: Under Programs, click Uninstall a program
- Step 3: Select the Trading.com MT5 and click to uninstall
Windows 8
- Step 1: Right-click on the screen's bottom-left corner and choose the ‘Control Panel’ from the pop-up menu
- Step 2: When the Control Panel appears, choose ‘Uninstall a Program’ from the ‘Programs’ category
- Step 3: Select ‘Trading.com MT5’ and click to uninstall
Windows 10
- Step 1: Right-click on the start menu and select ‘Apps and Features’
- Step 2: Find ‘Trading.com MT5’
- Step 3: Select it and then click ‘Uninstall’
Mac
- Step 1: Open your Applications folder
- Step 2: Move ‘Trading.com MT5 for Mac’ to Trash

How do I add an EA to the chart on the Trading.com MT5 platform?
For PC
- Step 1: Select ‘File’ followed by ‘Open Data Folder’ from the platform menu
- Step 2: Navigate to ‘MQL5’, then ‘Experts’, and place your expert advisor into this folder
- Step 3: After restarting your platform, your EA should appear in the ‘Navigator’ window
- Step 4: Double-click on your EA or drag-and-drop it to add it to your preferred chart
For MAC
- Step 1: In the ‘Finder’ on your Mac, choose ‘Go’ and then ‘Go to Folder’
- Step 2: Copy and paste the following path, replacing 'my-user' with the username of your Mac
- /Users/my-user/Library/Application Support/MetaTrader 5/Bottles/metatrader5/drive_c/Program Files/MetaTrader 5
- Step 3: Navigate to ‘MQL5’, then ‘Experts’, and place your expert advisor into this folder
- Step 4: After restarting your platform, your EA should appear in the ‘Navigator’ window
- Step 5: Double-click on your EA or drag-and-drop it to add it to your preferred chart
